Piegatto debuts at Salone del Mobile with sculptural ‘Carved Landscapes’ collection

Piegatto is making its first appearance at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 with Carved Landscapes, a collection that treats furniture as both functional object and inhabitable sculpture.

Presented in Hall 18, Stand F12, the showcase marks a significant international step for the brand as it expands onto the global design stage.

Furniture shaped like monuments
The collection is built around monolithic forms inspired by geological formations, prehistoric structures and carved landscapes. Rather than emphasising assembly or visible construction, the pieces appear hewn from solid mass, with function emerging through subtraction.

This approach blurs the line between furniture and architecture, positioning each object as a spatial presence rather than a standalone product.

New pieces introduced in Milan
Among the launches are:

  • Retiro Sofa – produced using a sustainable composite made from reclaimed wood residue
  • Toko Tables – referencing ancient stone monuments
  • Nuuk Sofa – a modular seating system designed to create fluid lounge landscapes
  • Ovo Chair – incorporating a rotating mechanism
  • Ikigai Tables – centred on balance and pared-back geometry

Together, the pieces continue the brand's emphasis on organic massing and sculptural silhouettes.

Lighting as atmosphere
Lighting also forms a key part of the presentation through the Majo and Cartussia collections, where illumination is treated as texture and spatial mood rather than purely utility.

At the centre of the stand sits Dunes, an immersive suspended-thread installation contrasting softness and movement with the solidity of the furniture around it.

Design aligned with permanence
The launch responds to this year's Salone theme, A Matter of Salone, by focusing on permanence, material honesty and enduring design values in contrast to fast-moving consumption cycles.

For visitors to Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026, Piegatto offers a presentation rooted less in trend and more in timeless sculptural presence.
