The brand's 2026 showcase centres on the relationship between technology, aesthetics, and evolving living environments. Through a curated exhibition, Smeg explores how appliances can move beyond functionality to become architectural and expressive components within the home.

A key highlight is Musa, a collection developed in collaboration with BorromeodeSilva. The project introduces a refined visual language aimed at redefining the structure and rhythm of the modern kitchen, combining minimal forms with expressive detailing.

This approach continues with Isola, created with Stefano Boeri Interiors. The project, which received the 2026 iF Design Award, reinterprets the appliance as a sculptural object within the kitchen environment, merging functional performance with architectural presence.

In addition, Smeg revisits its Portofino line, marking ten years since its introduction. The updated range features a new matt finish, offering a deeper and more tactile surface quality while maintaining its professional performance characteristics.

Presented within the EuroCucina and FTK exhibition spaces, the showcase reflects a broader shift in kitchen design, where appliances are increasingly conceived as integral to spatial composition and lifestyle expression.

Smeg's participation contributes to ongoing discussions at Salone del Mobile.Milano around innovation, material research, and the role of design in shaping contemporary domestic environments.
