Miele reimagines the adaptive kitchen at Milan Design Week 2026

Miele has unveiled its latest design concept, Designed to Move with You, at Milan Design Week 2026, presenting the kitchen as a flexible, responsive living environment shaped by changing routines, smaller homes and connected technology.

The concept is being showcased at EuroCucina 2026 and inside the newly redesigned Miele Experience Center.

Kitchen as dynamic living space
Rather than treating the kitchen as a static room, Miele framed it as an evolving ecosystem that adapts to daily life. Its EuroCucina stand uses open layouts, digital surfaces and integrated appliances to demonstrate how cooking, storage and living functions increasingly overlap.

The presentation reflects a wider industry shift toward kitchens that prioritise fluidity, multi-functionality and seamless technology integration.

Key product launches
Among the headline introductions is the KM 8000 induction hob with M Sense cookware, a smart system that automatically adjusts heat through temperature sensors to prevent burning or boiling over.

Miele also introduced CulinaryCoach, an AI-powered assistant within the Miele app that gives personalised cooking guidance and sends settings directly to connected appliances.

A new steam drawer, launching in March 2027, combines with a compact oven and microwave to create a space-saving 3-in-1 cooking solution for smaller kitchens.

Other additions include:

  • 60 cm hob with integrated extraction
  • Concealed glass panel hood built into cabinetry
  • Modular Outdoor Cooking kitchen system
  • HydroClean oven-cleaning technology
  • New Pearl Beige finish
  • Compact living focus

At the Miele Experience Center, the company also debuted Miele Compact Living: Kitchen Unit powered by Hettich, a design study for dense urban homes.

The concept combines appliances, storage and workspace in one compact unit that shifts function throughout the day, from work surface in the morning to cooking zone or social hub later on.

Why it matters
As urban homes shrink and kitchens become more central to daily life, Miele is positioning itself beyond appliances alone and into spatial design thinking.

At Milan Design Week 2026, the message was clear: the future kitchen will not just contain technology, it will adapt around the people using it.
