Félix Bernad, newly appointed president of Kitchen Furniture Association and Espacio Cocina SICI.
With over three decades of experience in the kitchen furniture industry and leadership of Grupo Ártico, Bernad assumes the role at a time of transformation for the sector. His approach builds on the foundation established by his predecessor, while introducing a renewed focus on adapting to evolving market demands.
A central objective is to strengthen the competitiveness of companies through digitalisation, innovation, and expanded international reach. At the same time, Bernad emphasises the growing importance of the kitchen as a central living space, where design, technology, and functionality converge.
Within this framework, Espacio Cocina SICI is positioned as a key platform for business development and professional exchange. The upcoming edition will be held alongside Feria Hábitat València, Textilhogar, and the new initiative 360 by Cevisama, creating a combined event aimed at integrating the wider habitat sector. This format is expected to enhance cross-industry collaboration and increase international participation.

Among the new features planned is the AMC Kitchen Lab, a conceptual installation designed by Francesc Rifé. The project will explore the future of kitchen design through an architectural and experiential approach, focusing on themes such as sustainability and spatial integration.
Bernad notes that the kitchen sector is undergoing a significant shift, moving beyond its traditional functional role to become a focal point of the home. This transition is driving demand for more personalised, design-led, and technologically advanced solutions.
With strong interest already reported from industry participants, the 2026 edition of Espacio Cocina SICI is expected to mark a step forward in both scale and quality. The event aims to reinforce its position as a leading platform for the Spanish kitchen sector while expanding its international reach.
