Wren tops £1bn revenue as profits surge past £100m

Wren delivered strong growth in 2025, with sales rising 10% to £1bn and pre-tax profit climbing above £100m despite a subdued housing and renovation market.

According to newly filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025, revenue increased from £917.7m in 2024, marking the second-highest sales performance in the company's history. EBITDA rose sharply to £142.8m from £111m, while pre-tax profit advanced to £105.1m from £69.4m.

The results stand out against a challenging backdrop for the UK kitchen sector, where weaker housing activity and macroeconomic uncertainty reportedly led some consumers to postpone renovation projects.

Wren said wider market growth was at best in the low single digits, suggesting the business continued to win share from competitors rather than relying solely on market expansion.

The performance highlights the relative resilience of scale players with strong branding, manufacturing integration and showroom networks. In slower markets, larger retailers are often better positioned to capture cautious consumers through finance offers, design services and promotional reach.

For the broader UK furniture and interiors industry, Wren's results may signal a widening gap between national operators and smaller independents as discretionary spending remains selective.

Crossing the £1bn mark also reinforces Wren's position as one of Britain's leading specialist home-improvement retailers, with momentum likely to strengthen competitive pressure across kitchens, fitted bedrooms and adjacent categories in 2026.
