Set to launch at the end of May 2026, the Curveline marks a departure from traditional T-shaped wall hoods, instead adopting a softer, more architectural form. The design responds to the growing integration of kitchens into open-plan living environments, where visual harmony and spatial cohesion are increasingly prioritised.
Characterised by its rounded silhouette and restrained aesthetic, the Curveline is conceived as a subtle design element within the kitchen. A brushed aluminium frame defines the upper and lower sections, contributing to a calm visual presence while supporting an even distribution of light.
Integrated LED lighting runs around the unit, combining functional task illumination with ambient lighting. This dual-purpose approach reinforces the product's role as both a technical appliance and an atmospheric feature within the space.
The hood operates using berbel's centrifugal separation principle, eliminating the need for traditional grease filters. This system separates grease and particles efficiently, supporting consistent performance while reducing maintenance requirements. As a recirculation model, the Curveline returns purified air back into the room, contributing to indoor climate control.
Additional features include BackFlow technology, designed to optimise airflow and prevent condensation.
The Curveline received the iF Design Award 2026 in the Product Design category prior to its official release, recognising its integration of form, functionality and usability.
With this launch, berbel continues to explore the intersection of design and technology in kitchen ventilation, positioning the extractor hood as an integral element of modern kitchen architecture.
