Cesar used Milan Design Week to unveil flagship renewal and broadened home vision

Cesar marked Milan Design Week 2026 with the unveiling of its renovated Milan flagship store and a series of product developments signalling the brand's expansion beyond the kitchen into wider domestic living.

The updated showroom served as a platform to present Cesar's strategic evolution, with the company positioning the space as a starting point for new directions in research, design dialogue and integrated home environments.

Over the past twelve years, under the artistic direction of Cinzia Cumini and Vicente García of García Cumini, Cesar has developed what it describes as a compositional approach centred on freedom rather than rigid linearity.

"The starting point was the concept of transversality: moving beyond the logic of closed collections to build an open system, where each element interacts with the others and moves freely within the architecture. The kitchen thus ceases to be a finished object and becomes a compositional device," explained Cumini and García.

The company said it is now entering a new phase of growth, extending its design language into living and dining rooms as well as more functional areas such as laundry rooms, corridors and bathrooms.

Designed by García Cumini, the renewed Milan flagship was conceived as an immersive setting where architecture and product form a continuous narrative. The layout alternated open social zones with more intimate spaces, using material surfaces, layered finishes and adaptable display solutions to demonstrate the flexibility of Cesar systems.

Among the main launches was an updated version of Tangram, designed by García Cumini. The system extends beyond island formats to include columns, wall units and base cabinets, while retaining its signature curved geometry. A new Palmier edge detail was introduced to further define the range.

Maxima 2.2, described by the company as the most complete expression of its design vision, also received an update through the addition of the new Contour handle, giving the system a more geometric profile while supporting its long-term adaptability.

Unit, Cesar's freestanding kitchen concept, was enhanced with a new snack top intended to create a more convivial island setting centred on interaction and shared use.

Beyond the kitchen, Home Elements introduced additions including The 50s bookcase with rotating TV support and the Solido table with a new Nuance top in red tones.

The company also launched a new category of boiserie wall systems, designed to integrate storage, display and suspended appliances across different areas of the home.

Alongside these developments, Cesar continued its material research through new finishes, surfaces and textures aimed at creating more sophisticated combinations throughout the domestic interior.
