The promotion marks an internal succession after more than 15 years with Poggenpohl. Rotchell joined the business in 2011 as a technical designer at the brand's Wigmore Street showroom before progressing through a series of commercial and operational roles.
His career path included sales designer, responsibility for training and showroom refurbishment projects, dealer manager for the UK and Ireland from 2018, and most recently sales director from 2024.
In a statement, Rotchell said he was honoured to take on the role and looked forward to building on the foundations established under Wallis' leadership while strengthening the brand's presence and relationships across the UK and Ireland.
Wallis said she was proud of what the business had achieved during her tenure and expressed confidence in Rotchell's ability to lead the next phase of growth.
The appointment comes at a time when premium kitchen brands continue to focus on leadership continuity, dealer networks and showroom development amid a competitive market environment. Rotchell's long tenure inside the business may offer strategic continuity while bringing fresh leadership shaped by operational, design and sales experience.
His first interview as managing director is due to appear in the May 2026 edition of kbbreview magazine, where he is expected to outline his plans for the company's future direction.
