German bathroom specialist Emco Bad has appointed Ladislao Santamaria as managing director, effective 1 May 2026.

Santamaria brings extensive leadership experience in medium-sized industrial businesses, with a background in the sanitary and building supply sectors. Most recently, he served as managing director and country manager of Fluidra Deutschland GmbH, where he was involved in restructuring and stabilising operations.
His previous roles also include management positions at Bette, with an international sales focus, as well as leadership responsibilities within the Müpro Group.
Stephan Hettwer, chief executive of Emco Group, said the appointment forms part of the company's wider growth strategy. He added that the business aims to further develop Emco Bad strategically, unlock international opportunities and strengthen the foundations for long-term success.
The move comes as bathroom and interiors suppliers across Europe continue to focus on operational efficiency, export growth and leadership renewal in response to shifting market conditions.
