After serving a significant period as chief executive, Ovidijus has stepped down from the role. The company thanked him for his leadership and contribution to the development of the business during his tenure.

Effective 10 April, Rasa Švėgždienė has been appointed as the new chief executive officer.

Švėgždienė is a long-standing member of the Vilmers team and brings extensive internal experience, strong market knowledge and a deep understanding of the company's operations, customers and partner network.

In a statement, she said she was honoured to take on the role and looked forward to building on the company's existing foundations while strengthening relationships, driving innovation and guiding Vilmers through its next stage of growth.

The appointment signals a continuity-led succession strategy, with Vilmers choosing an experienced internal leader familiar with the brand, culture and wider industry environment.

The company said it is moving forward with confidence under new leadership, with priorities centred on continuity, growth and stronger collaboration with partners.

Leadership transitions across Europe's furniture manufacturing sector have become increasingly important as companies focus on supply chain resilience, export growth and changing consumer demand. By promoting from within, Vilmers appears to be prioritising stability while positioning itself for future expansion.
