TCM Group board reshuffle as vice chairman steps down

TCM Group has announced a boardroom change after long-serving vice chairman Søren Mygind Eskildsen resigned from the company's board.

Eskildsen had served on the board for eight years, including the past two as vice chairman. His departure marks the end of a significant period of governance involvement at the Danish kitchen group, which owns several kitchen brands in the Nordic market.

He will be succeeded by Erika Hummel, an Italian executive who has been a board member since 2023. Hummel is chief executive of Sodulu Immobilien and brings a strong financial and corporate management background to the role.

The appointment comes at a time when governance expertise and financial oversight remain important across Europe's home improvement and interiors sectors, as manufacturers navigate softer consumer demand, inflationary pressures and shifting housing activity.

TCM Group is one of Denmark's best-known kitchen manufacturers, supplying the Nordic market through multiple brands and retail channels.

While no reason was publicly detailed for Eskildsen's resignation, the transition signals a continuation of the company's focus on experienced external leadership with international business credentials.

The appointment of Hummel also reflects the increasingly cross-border nature of European furniture and kitchen industry leadership, where boards are drawing on broader international talent pools to guide strategic growth and operational resilience.
