Nordic distributor Ahlsell has appointed Dennis Helfridsson as the new CEO of its Swedish operations, effective 1 May 2026. He will also join the company's Group Management team.
Helfridsson brings more than three decades of industrial experience, having held multiple senior leadership roles at ABB. Most recently, he served as CEO of ABB Sweden and Vice President of ABB Robotics & Discrete Automation in the Nordics, overseeing complex organisational structures and driving operational development.

Ahlsell has appointed Dennis Helfridsson as the new CEO of its Swedish operations.
In his new role, Helfridsson will lead Ahlsell Sverige and support the execution of the company's 2030 strategy. The programme focuses on strengthening customer value while driving profitable growth, with key priorities including digitalisation, sustainability and the continued development of the company's product and service offering.
Ahlsell's Group CEO, Claes Seldeby, stated that Helfridsson's leadership experience and industry knowledge are expected to contribute to the company's ongoing development in Sweden, one of its core markets.
Helfridsson noted that Ahlsell enters a new phase of growth with a strong market position and outlined his intention to work closely with the organisation to further strengthen its operations and customer offering.
As part of the transition, Daniel Snöman, who has been acting CEO of Ahlsell Sweden, will return to his previous role as Division Director.
Ahlsell operates as a multi-vertical distributor of technical products across the Nordics, serving sectors including industry, infrastructure and installation. The company reports annual revenues of approximately SEK 50 billion and maintains a network of around 300 branches supported by a digital sales platform.
The leadership change is positioned as part of Ahlsell's broader strategy to reinforce its market position while advancing sustainability and operational efficiency across its regional business units.
