The deal expands ST Inventar's value chain through added manufacturing resources and a broader product portfolio aimed at schools, institutions and professional environments.
The acquisition also brings consulting, project sales and production activities together under one unified platform, positioning the business for further growth in the contract and public-sector furniture markets.
A photograph released alongside the announcement showed Stig Blicher, chief executive of ST Inventar, together with former Thorsø owner Niels Andersen marking completion of the agreement.
The transaction highlights ongoing consolidation within the Nordic furniture sector, where manufacturers are seeking scale, broader capabilities and stronger competitiveness through acquisitions.
For ST Inventar, the addition of Thorsø is expected to support future demand while strengthening its position in specialist furnishing solutions for education and commercial settings.
