French custom interior design specialist Archea has continued its national rollout with a new store opening in Angers while outlining plans to expand into north-eastern France, the final major region not yet covered by its network.

The new Angers showroom opened on 25 March 2026 at 8 rue des Lices in the city centre. The 65 m² store is operated by franchisee Christophe Lanoës, a former contractor and design office director who completed a seven-week training programme at the company's centre in Saint-Sulpice-la-Pointe.
The franchisee is targeting €300,000 turnover in the first year, with one fitter already hired and a second recruitment planned for 2027.
Archea's next strategic focus is the north-east of France, where it is targeting cities including Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Metz, Nancy, Reims and Besançon.
The first opening in that region is scheduled for Strasbourg in May 2026, with a broader target of five stores by 2028. According to Philippe Perlemoine, the expansion depends partly on establishing a dedicated transport line to support logistics and service efficiency in the region.
Archea currently operates a network of 65 stores and expects 3% revenue growth in 2025. Prospective franchisees are required to contribute €50,000 equity, with average total investment around €180,000. The company manufactures all products in two facilities in the Tarn region and recently secured PEFC certification, while reporting an 84% material recovery rate.
The move reflects ongoing demand in France for customised storage, fitted interiors and franchise-led regional expansion in the home improvement market.
