First prize was awarded to Russo Betak of Denmark for Nippon.

Presented during the 27th edition of SaloneSatellite 2026, the awards responded to the theme Skilled Craftsmanship + Innovation. According to organisers, the selected under-35 designers demonstrated how technology and artisanal practice can complement one another to create new production methods and design languages.

First prize was awarded to Russo Betak of Denmark for Nippon, a pendant lamp from the Ark collection. The piece is 3D printed using seashells and then sculpted by hand. The jury recognised its material experimentation and its translation into a refined and luminous form.

Second prize went to IOUS Studio of Netherlands for 3DP Ceramic Tiles, a ceramic cladding system produced through computationally controlled 3D printing. The project was recognised for its sustainable and application-led approach, combining digital precision with material sensitivity.

Third prize was presented to Jüngerkühn of Germany for Soft Touch, a collection of porcelain vases that merges robotic manufacturing with tactile craftsmanship. Each vase features unique patterns intended to reveal increasing detail at close range.

Two Special Mentions were also awarded. Aiko Design of Chile was recognised for Númina Lamp, inspired by ancestral symbols and traditional weaving techniques using wicker and horsehair, with 3D-printed PLA and chrome metal details.

Yixian Wang of China received a Special Mention for Foggy, a vessel created by transforming soft fibreglass fabric into glass without resin. The resulting form uses delicate strands that capture light and reinterpret the material's visual properties.

The jury was chaired by Paola Antonelli and included representatives from design, media, academia and industry. Marva Griffin Wilshire also served on the panel.
