The updated range revisits the Hamlet, Cadogan, Sefton and Lear models—retaining their recognisable silhouettes while refining internal construction, cushioning and materials to deliver a deeper, more luxurious seating experience.
Comfort-led redesign
While the внешний forms remain largely unchanged, each sofa has been comprehensively reworked beneath the surface. The new construction combines pocket spring systems with foam cores wrapped in goose feather and down, creating a balance between soft, sink-in comfort and long-term structural support.
This layered approach is paired with solid hardwood frames, elastic webbing and handcrafted detailing, reinforcing the brand's emphasis on durability. All models are backed by a 30-year structural guarantee, underlining a growing industry focus on longevity and investment value.
Four models, distinct identities
Each design in the collection caters to different interior styles and user needs:
- Hamlet features slim arms and a raised base, offering a lighter, mid-century-inspired aesthetic suited to both compact and larger spaces.
- Cadogan introduces a relaxed, loose-cover look with tailored detailing, combining casual comfort with classic elegance.
- Sefton delivers generous proportions and a deep seat, designed for versatility across social and everyday use.
- Lear embraces softer curves and a more relaxed profile, encouraging extended lounging and informal living.
Across the range, upholstery options focus on neutral, tactile fabrics, including linen blends and woven finishes, aligning with contemporary preferences for understated, adaptable interiors.
Responding to evolving living patterns
The relaunch reflects a broader shift in the furniture sector, where consumers increasingly prioritise comfort, practicality and long-term performance over purely aesthetic considerations.
By reworking established designs rather than introducing entirely new forms, Andrew Martin reinforces the value of timeless products that evolve with changing expectations, offering pieces designed to be lived with, and to last.
The re-engineered sofa collection is now available through Andrew Martin's London showrooms and online.
