Lawson-Fenning, the Los Angeles and New York-based design brand known for its handcrafted furniture, ceramics, and curated vintage pieces, has unveiled Studio LF, a 7,500-square-foot showroom and design studio adjacent to its Melrose Avenue flagship. Housed in a 1930s bow truss warehouse featuring original unpainted wood ceilings and skylights, the expansion marks a major step in the brand's growth and ambition.

Inside Studio LF, visitors encounter an airy, open main space with soaring ceilings, designed to evoke a gallery-like environment. Smaller side rooms highlight lighting, vintage finds, ceramics, and Lawson-Fenning's expanding fabric line, while an upstairs mezzanine serves as a collaborative space for designers and clients, complete with a material sample library.
"We want to show an elevated, curated version of the brand, and have a space to launch new products," shares Glenn Lawson, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Lawson-Fenning. "The new space will house our design offices and creative team. It will be the perfect opportunity to give clients a behind-the-scenes look at how we develop, create, and launch our pieces."

The showroom will debut new work by Shane Gabier, Devin Wilde, and Adam Sirak, alongside fabrics from ZAK+FOX, custom plantscapes by Haus Plant, and an art programme curated by Rhett Baruch Gallery. These additions join Lawson-Fenning's signature furniture and one-of-a-kind artisan pieces sourced from Europe and the U.S.
"We're excited to be expanding our LA footprint with such a dynamic space. We see this additional building as a platform to showcase our artists and our own line in a more refined setting. It also gives us a larger canvas as we broaden our collection offerings in the months ahead," adds Grant Fenning, co-founder and Chief Design Officer.

The renovation honours the building's historic 1930s character, preserving soaring ceilings and architectural details while integrating contemporary design sensibilities. A restored hidden doorway, originally connecting the new building to the flagship, now functions as a sliding steel fire door, linking the two spaces seamlessly. "Walking through the restored passageway feels like stepping into another place, an expanded vision of what Lawson-Fenning has always stood for," says Tana Ward, President of Lawson-Fenning.
Studio LF will host its grand opening for clients, the design community, and the public on October 24, 2025.
