At this year's 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, emerging Danish brand Oaklings is set to showcase its distinctive line of high-end children's furniture, where timeless Scandinavian aesthetics meet the evolving needs of modern hospitality. From June 18–20, Oaklings will exhibit at the historic Lapidarium of Kings, joining over 40 curated brands in one of the festival's most atmospheric venues.
Founded on the core principles of Scandinavian design, simplicity, functionality, and craftsmanship, Oaklings is redefining how children's furniture can be both practical and beautiful, especially in spaces where visual harmony matters. For the hospitality industry, this offers an increasingly relevant proposition. Hotels, restaurants, and boutique venues are recognizing the value of family-friendly design that doesn't compromise on style.
"Our furniture is made to blend into refined environments rather than stand out as afterthoughts," says the Oaklings team. "It's about creating a welcoming space for all guests, including the youngest ones, without sacrificing design integrity."
The brand's hero piece, the Saga Highchair, epitomizes this vision. Crafted from solid oak and hand-assembled in Italy, it combines traditional woodworking with modern sensibilities. Unlike the plastic highchairs typically found in public spaces, the Saga is designed to complement sophisticated interiors, whether in a Michelin-starred restaurant, boutique hotel lobby, or upscale café.
Also on display will be the Storm Chair and Asta Table, designed by internationally acclaimed Danish designer Nina Bruun. These pieces are ideal for hotel rooms, lounges, or family areas where style and comfort must coexist. The compact Smilla Toddler Chair rounds out the offering, giving younger children a safe and stylish place to snack or play while parents relax nearby.
Oaklings' commitment to quality and longevity is central to its sustainability ethos. All furniture is constructed with durability in mind, intended to be passed down through generations. This aligns with the hospitality sector's growing shift toward fewer, better products that endure, not only to minimize waste but to elevate the guest experience.
Available in natural oak, smoked oak, and black-stained oak, each piece is made to harmonize with a range of design palettes, making them easy to integrate into diverse hospitality settings.
By presenting at 3daysofdesign, Oaklings is not only showcasing beautiful furniture—it's highlighting a broader shift in how the hospitality industry can thoughtfully cater to families. As public spaces continue to evolve, brands like Oaklings are showing that elegance and inclusivity can go hand in hand.
Oaklings will be exhibiting at the Lapidarium of Kings during 3daysofdesign, June 18–20, 2025. Visitors are warmly invited to explore the collection in person.
