The partnership brings together two established businesses with combined annual sales of £60 million and a workforce of 150 employees. According to the companies, the move is intended to expand product choice, strengthen customer support and accelerate innovation across both the office and education sectors.
Under the new structure, the combined group will continue operating through two distinct commercial channels. TC Group will focus on transactional sales, while Edit Office Group will concentrate on project-led and bespoke work. The companies stated that this approach is designed to maintain clarity for customers while allowing both businesses to preserve their existing identities and specialist strengths.
Dan Wooler, CEO of TC Group, said the acquisition builds on the established reputations of both organisations rather than replacing them. "We are not reinventing either business; we are building on what already makes them successful and creating more ways for customers and partners to benefit from that," he said.
The combined portfolio includes brands such as Titan and Koala Acoustics, strengthening the group's offering across workplace, education and acoustic furniture solutions. The companies also highlighted the growing importance of acoustics within commercial interiors, positioning this as a key area for future growth.
Customers are expected to benefit from several operational enhancements following the acquisition. These include locally staffed sourcing operations in Poland and China, expanded showroom access across Clerkenwell, Bristol, Glasgow and Dublin, and a larger field sales network covering both the UK and Ireland.
The group also confirmed that a significantly upgraded customer portal is currently in development, aimed at improving access to pricing, product data and ordering tools.
The acquisition marks TC Group's fifth purchase to date and is described internally as its most significant transaction so far. The newly formed board will include senior leadership from both organisations, combining operational, commercial and regional expertise across the UK and Irish markets.
Looking ahead, the group plans to unveil several new product ranges during an upcoming launch event celebrating the partnership. The businesses also intend to expand community engagement programmes across the UK and Ireland, building on TC Group's existing initiatives.
Within the wider interiors and furniture industry, the acquisition reflects continued consolidation across the office and education sectors, as companies seek greater scale, stronger sourcing capabilities and broader product ecosystems in response to evolving workplace and learning environments.
