Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 welcomed 316,342 visitors from 167 countries this year, reaffirming its role as the global benchmark for the interiors and furniture industry despite ongoing geopolitical instability and shifting international demand.
Held at Fiera Milano Rho, the fair brought together 1,900 brands from 32 countries and demonstrated the resilience of the international design sector through a combination of industrial innovation, cultural programming and global business development. International trade professionals accounted for 68% of total attendance, maintaining the strong international participation recorded in 2025.

The 2026 edition highlighted the growing importance of global markets for the industry. China remained the leading foreign market by visitor numbers, while attendance from several European countries increased significantly, including Germany (+5.1%), Spain (+8.7%), Austria (+15.7%) and Belgium (+7.3%). Outside Europe, the United States recorded an 8.8% increase in visitors, while the United Kingdom rose by 10.4%. Canada and Mexico also saw strong growth, alongside expanding participation from Brazil and South Korea.
The biennial showcases EuroCucina 2026 and International Bathroom Exhibition 2026 reinforced the strategic role of kitchens and bathrooms within contemporary living, with technology, sustainability and evolving lifestyle needs shaping many of the sector's key innovations.
The event also expanded its international strategy through initiatives including Expo Osaka 2025, partnerships with Art Basel Miami Beach and Hong Kong, trade missions to India, the United States, Canada and China, and preparations for the fair's first spin-off event in Saudi Arabia. During the exhibition, the fair was officially named Ambassador of Italian Design Worldwide by Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Alongside commercial activity, the fair continued to strengthen its cultural positioning. The new Salone Raritas featured 28 galleries from 12 countries, focusing on collectible and experimental design. Meanwhile, the masterplan for Salone Contract 2027, developed by Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten of OMA, explored the growing global contract market.
The fair also attracted over 6,000 members of the international press and welcomed thousands of students and emerging designers through SaloneSatellite, reinforcing its role as a platform connecting education, research and industry.
The next edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano 2027 will take place from 13 to 18 April 2027.
