MESSE C Furniture Fair gains momentum as visitor numbers rise and industry confidence builds

The second edition of the MESSE C Furniture Fair in Fredericia has concluded with a marked increase in professional attendance and strong support from both organisers and exhibitors. The Danish trade and purchasing fair for the furniture industry welcomed 1,108 professionals over four days, representing a 21 percent rise compared to its inaugural edition last year.

Organisers describe the outcome as a clear sign that the event is establishing itself within the industry calendar. Lars Søndergaard, Senior Project Manager at MESSE C, said: "We have experienced very positive feedback from visitors and exhibitors, and we believe that this fair fully lives up to our intentions of building on year after year, so that Furniture Fair becomes a firmly established element in the industry's annual cycle. The new initiative this year of gathering the fair in our large hall A was very well received - people were happy with the clarity, the space and the light we have worked with so that the furniture presents itself optimally. So we are here to stay, states Lars Søndergaard, senior project manager at MESSE C."

Exhibitors also reported strong commercial engagement. Morten Bertelsen, Sales Director at Design Concept Denmark, noted that the fair combined inspiration with active business opportunities: "We think it has been a good fair, where it has not only been about inspiration, but where there has also been trading. We have spoken to many of our important customers in Scandinavia, we have been shown our news, and we have nurtured our relationships, so we leave here with a really good feeling. I definitely think we will be there next year too, says Morten Bertelsen."

First-time exhibitor Rowico from Sweden also reported a positive experience. Joachim Simonsson, Sales Manager at Rowico, said: "This is the first time we have exhibited here, after we visited the fair last year and got a good impression. And it has been a positive experience; Monday and Tuesday were especially busy, and we have also had many Norwegian and some Swedish customers visit. I think the entire industry is looking for a good, permanent forum to meet at, and Fredericia is a good option, along with Gothenburg, I think. It seems that there is growth potential in Furniture Fair, and that it is attracting more and more interest, says Joachim Simonsson."

Exhibitors Primavera/UpNorthLiving also highlighted strong engagement from Norwegian buyers. Dan and Malthe Brask stated: "But in general, there were the customers at the fair that we wanted to see, and we have received both orders and many contacts that will be followed up in the coming weeks. We experienced a good atmosphere; for some, these are difficult times, but people actually seemed optimistic, point out Dan and Malthe Brask."

Overall, the fair closed on a positive note, with increasing international interest and expectations of further growth in the coming editions. The next edition of MESSE C Furniture Fair is scheduled to take place from 25 to 28 April 2027 in Fredericia.
