Venini strengthens Milan presence with new flagship and design week launches

VENINI has opened a new flagship store in the centre of Milan, relocating to Via Durini 27 near Piazza San Babila. The move marks a new stage in the brand's growth strategy and reinforces its presence within Milan's design district.

Timed with Milano Design Week, the flagship also introduces a mezzanine floor dedicated to architects and designers. The new level has been conceived as a space for bespoke project development, underlining VENINI's long-standing relationship with the design community.

Silvia Damiani, Chairman of VENINI, said: "The opening of this new Milan address further consolidates VENINI's role as an outstanding interpreter of Murano glass culture and as a privileged interlocutor for the worlds of architecture and contemporary design."

She added that the connection between the brand and Milan is longstanding, noting that founder Paolo Venini was Milanese and opened the company's first city-centre shop in 1923.

During Design Week, VENINI is also presenting new collections created by Peter Marino. The launch includes three Art Light collections and one Art Glass collection: Cactus, On The Rock, Cabbage and Cilindro Sommerso con Piatto Incalmato.

According to the company, the collections reinterpret historic Venetian glassmaking techniques through a contemporary lens. Processes such as pulegoso, ritagli and sommerso, originally developed between the 1930s and 1950s, have been revisited with a modern design approach.

VENINI said the collaboration with Marino translates its legacy into pieces that combine heritage with avant-garde thinking and a future-focused direction.

The brand is also presenting Mina, a work designed by Ron Arad. First conceived in 2025 as a tribute to legendary Italian singer Mina on her 85th birthday, the piece is now being released in a new Rosa Alba colourway.

The design features Mina's profile suspended within a blown glass vessel and is produced using traditional Murano glassmaking methods. The limited edition consists of 49 pieces and three artist's proofs, available exclusively at the new VENINI flagship store in Milan San Babila.
