Actiu’s Meetia, designed by Ramón Esteve, wins an iF Design Award 2025

The international iF Design Award 2025 has recognised Meetia, a collection by Actiu—a specialist in the design and manufacture of furniture for corporate, contract, educational, and healthcare spaces—designed by renowned architect and designer Ramón Esteve.

Meetia is a collection of armchairs and sofas that merges the elegance of industrial aesthetics with the practical requirements of hospitality furniture. It features a perimeter steel tube structure and a wrapped seat that ensures comfort. The softly upholstered interior incorporates fabrics with a sustainable profile.

The iF Design Award is a seal of excellence granted by the iF International Forum Design, one of the world's oldest independent design institutions, which has honoured outstanding design for over 70 years.

'Meetia is the result of an exemplary collaboration between design and industry. It represents the perfect balance between quality, image, and creativity. At Actiu, we've managed to bring that concept into the industrial field, making it tangible through manufacturing and materials,' said Soledat Berbegal, Actiu's Board Member and Brand Reputation Director.

She added: 'Meetia brings together design, sustainability, elegance, comfort, well-being, and beauty. It is a modular system, easily assembled, with interchangeable parts and noble materials that add aesthetic and functional value. Bringing it to life has been a great success, and this iF Design Award is a recognition from the industry that reinforces our commitment to collaborating with top-tier designers to enrich and evolve our catalogue.'

The award was given in Product under the Home Furniture category and celebrates Meetia's outstanding and innovative design, standing out among nearly 11,000 submissions from 66 countries.

According to designer and architect Ramón Esteve, 'Meetia responds to a continuous pursuit: how to transform geometry into emotion through matter and light.' He added that 'every line is designed to interact with its surroundings, as part of a harmonious whole.'

Meetia's innovative spirit won over the international jury, composed of 131 independent design experts.

Redefining the boundaries between creativity and industrial craftsmanship, Meetia fosters well-being and comfort through its structural solidity and a wide variety of textures, finishes, and sizes, providing maximum versatility for contract, corporate, public, and private spaces.

By combining Ramón Esteve's vision and passion with Actiu's capabilities, each Meetia piece becomes a work of art, featuring exquisite detailing and clean lines that pay tribute to timeless design and avant-garde architectural spaces.

Meetia stands out for its verticality, bold structural joint aesthetics, elegance, functionality, versatility, customisation, and long-term durability.

To create Meetia, Actiu uses sustainable materials and optimises production processes to reduce its ecological footprint. Easy replacement and repair of all components guarantee a long and sustainable product life.
