At the 63rd edition of Salone del Mobile, Vanità Living introduced a transformative new collection of mirrors that seamlessly blended design, aesthetics, and technological innovation. Presented in collaboration with Gianmarco Codato and Luciano Trevisiol of Studio Lino Codato Design & Communication, the launch marked a major milestone for the brand, reinforcing its mission to elevate mirrors from functional surfaces to standout design features.
Eight brand-new mirrors were unveiled alongside existing catalogue pieces, each pushing the boundaries of how reflective surfaces are used in modern interiors. 'This year, more than ever, Vanità Living's collection clearly has reflected our deep passion for mirrors, driving us toward innovative, at times visionary design where technology and aesthetics meet in harmony,' said Alexander Caruso, founder of Vanità Living.
Designed not just for the home but also for hospitality environments, the new collection featured integrated dimmable lighting, adjustable in both brightness and warmth, to create fully personalised ambience. Caruso added, 'Design is a constantly evolving universe, now seeing the use of new materials and unexplored technologies, even in our field. That is why we see mirrors as a domain of exploration and application, growing in demand not only in residential settings but also in hotels, restaurants, and hospitality areas. Mirrors are perfect allies in crafting contemporary atmospheres, adding a note of elegance and style.'
A highlight of the collection was Vanità Living's patented Ghost Mirror technology. When powered off, the mirror appears as a clean, pure reflective surface; when activated, it reveals its lighting capabilities. All new models also supported smart control via Google Home or Alexa, allowing voice command management of lighting functions, such as on/off, intensity, and temperature.
Key introductions included:
- Flirt: "A furnishing piece that transforms light and shadow into architectural elements," merging multiple geometries into a single form to enhance space.
- Ercole: "A tribute to strength and motion," evoking the dynamic curves of a folded sheet with lighting that emphasised its contours.
- Poseidone: A bold piece inspired by classical architecture and Greek mythology, offering dramatic presence and atmospheric lighting.
- Marte: Referencing planetary energy, its lighting introduced depth and movement, redefining the mirror's spatial role.
- Piuma: "Embodies purity and protection," with backlighting that evoked the delicacy of a feather.
- Luminox: A minimalist piece where "light is the main protagonist," bringing warmth and depth to any room.
- Quarto: Architecturally inspired, the mirror was split into two sections by a central light source, offering a "dynamic play of light and shadow."
- GhostWood: A round or square mirror combining wood texture with light, delivering "a perfect fusion of nature and technology."
Founded in 2023, Vanità Living is the signature brand of Vanità & Casa, dedicated to designing mirrors that "bring more light, depth, and beauty to every room." From meticulous material choices to refined lighting integrations, the collection was crafted to serve as both functional and artistic centrepieces for residential, hospitality, and office environments.
