Debonademeo extends Bar Adrenalina multisensory concept at Palazzo Litta through July

Debonademeo Studio created Bar Adrenalina, an immersive interior concept that opened during Milan Design Week 2026 and remains open to the public at Palazzo Litta until July 2026.

Developed for the Boccascena Café as part of MoscaPartners Variations 2026, this year dedicated to the theme of Metamorphosis, the project moved beyond a conventional furniture showcase to create a multisensory environment shaped by sound, colour and emotional response.

"The idea is to go far beyond the clubbing experience; we don't bring the sound into the bar, but capture it from within. We listen to the voices, the laughter and the movement of bodies (and emotions) in a soft, welcoming environment that stimulates social interaction, in order to translate those sounds and vibrations into a collection of upholstered furniture," said designers Luca De Bona and Dario De Meo of Debonademeo Studio.

The installation is organised across three connected rooms, each defined by a different dominant colour, acoustic identity and intended social mood. The studio said the concept draws on principles associated with neuroarchitecture, exploring how interiors can influence emotion, attention, stress, creativity and behaviour.

In the entrance Bar Room, finished in warm Burnt Sienna tones, visitors encountered the Cosmologie bar counter, designed in terrazzo style and produced using fully recycled composite material by Chroma Composites. Seating included Piscine poufs and Nefelibata modular seating.

The adjoining Ninfeo room introduced blue hues and the sound of flowing water from the palace's historic fountain. Furnishings included Pachamama sofas and armchairs, inspired by Mother Goddess mythology, alongside the Metagramma modular bench, Nubia chairs and Tellus tables. The table tops were made from Chroma Composites' recycled Cosmologie material, combining resin, pigments and fragments of reclaimed stone and mirror.

The final and largest room, characterised by emerald green tones, was conceived for smaller and more intimate gatherings. Its centrepiece was the Litta bench, named after Palazzo Litta. Designed as a modular system, the piece allows backrest and seat elements to be configured like a mosaic.

Throughout the installation, Adrenalina furniture was paired with lighting by Karman and textiles by Gabriel.

Debonademeo described the project as a space that does not simply communicate with visitors, but senses them. By extending beyond Milan Design Week into summer, Bar Adrenalina continues to offer a live example of experiential design where furniture, atmosphere and social interaction are closely intertwined.
