Danish furniture brand Fredericia Furniture will present Fredericia: A Chronicle of Danish Design during Milan Design Week 2026, with an exhibition hosted at Triennale Milano from 20 to 26 April.
The exhibition offers an overview of the brand's design heritage, presenting a curated selection of archival works, iconic furniture pieces and contemporary interpretations. Structured as a dialogue across time, the showcase traces the evolution of Danish design through Fredericia's portfolio, highlighting both historical milestones and ongoing developments.

Installed within the Triennale Milano, the presentation reflects a broader narrative of continuity, where past and present are positioned in relation to one another. The exhibition is conceived as a chronological and thematic exploration, examining how design principles have been carried forward and reinterpreted across generations.
The display includes key works that have defined the company's identity, alongside newer designs that respond to contemporary contexts. This combination aims to illustrate the enduring relevance of Danish design values, including craftsmanship, material quality and functional clarity.

An opening event will take place on 20 April from 14:00 to 16:00, offering industry visitors and press an early view of the exhibition. The installation has been developed under the direction of Fredericia's design team, with Head of Design Maria Bruun overseeing the build-up process.
Open daily from 10:30 to 21:00, the exhibition is accessible throughout the duration of Milan Design Week, contributing to the wider programme of cultural and design-led presentations across the city.
Through this showcase, Fredericia Furniture positions its legacy within a contemporary framework, reinforcing its role in the ongoing development of Danish design.
