Italian aluminium design brand altreforme will present LOVE&RELOVE during Milan Design Week 2026, introducing a new service model that redefines furniture as an evolving, long-term system rather than a fixed product.
Developed at Via Solferino 32 in Milan's Brera district, the project reflects the brand's ongoing focus on bespoke aluminium design and circular thinking. Founded within the automotive expertise of Fontana Group, altreforme has positioned aluminium as a highly customisable material, combining industrial precision with a couture-like approach to surface, colour and finish.

LOVE&RELOVE is structured around a two-phase model. The "LOVE" phase refers to the initial design and creation of bespoke furniture developed in collaboration with clients. The "RELOVE" phase introduces a second lifecycle, allowing existing pieces to be reworked, resized, refinished or reconfigured in response to changing spatial or personal needs.
Rather than positioning furniture as a static object, the service proposes continuity over replacement. Aluminium plays a central role in this concept due to its durability and recyclability, supporting an approach in which materials remain in use through repeated transformation.
The initiative extends the brand's established focus on customisation, reinforcing the idea that furniture can adapt alongside its owner. According to the company, the service responds to changing lifestyles and evolving design preferences while maintaining an ongoing relationship between user and object.
For Milan Design Week, the project will be presented as an experiential installation, where selected pieces and production processes illustrate the potential for transformation across a product's lifespan. The space is conceived as a narrative environment, highlighting how design can evolve over time rather than conclude at the point of purchase.
Alongside the presentation in Brera, the brand's High Heels console, created in collaboration with Yazbukey, will also be exhibited as part of L'Appartamento at Palazzo Donizetti, curated by Artemest.
Through LOVE&RELOVE, altreforme expands its circular design approach into a service-based model, positioning adaptability and longevity as central principles in contemporary furniture design.
