In a sector that is increasingly centred around the connection between living spaces and more conscious living, few stories bring food and design together as naturally as that of Belinda Peeters, founder and Creative Director of Be Living. What began as her personal search for reliable cookware has evolved into a wellness-driven design brand, built on clarity, humanity, and ease of use.
'Cooking is one of the most human things we do,' Belinda says. 'It connects families, cultures, and memories. I wanted to create tools that honour that connection.' From these beginnings, Be Living has evolved into a thoughtful commentary on how the objects we cook with influence daily well-being and design values.

Designing for wellness
For Belinda, Be Living was born in the kitchen rather than the boardroom. 'As a chef, I was always searching for the perfect cookware,' she recalls. 'I noticed huge differences in quality and safety, and they directly affected how food turned out.'
She explains that the transition from professional kitchens to product design felt natural: 'I knew there had to be a way to make cookware beautiful, safe, and functional at the same time.' When she began developing her first line, her family was part of the process. 'My husband and children were so supportive. We designed together and tested everything at home until it felt right.'
Belinda summarises her philosophy simply: 'Cooking should be a joy, not a struggle. If your tools work with you rather than against you, you create an atmosphere that feels calm, almost therapeutic.'
Materials with intention
Material selection sits at the core of Be Living's approach. The company's focus on clean, radical-free composition reflects growing industry awareness of how materials influence indoor health and longevity. 'We're creating a wellness-first lifestyle with premium design and intentionality,' she explains.
Beyond safety and sustainability, Belinda's background in hospitality has shaped how she understands the emotional function of design. 'Every pan, pot, and handle is made to reduce friction, both literally and metaphorically,' she notes, emphasising how thoughtful design supports mindfulness in daily life.

Human-centred design thinking
The intersection of human-centred design and clean materials technology defines Be Living's product development. Each of its ten cookware lines responds to distinct culinary cultures and cooking styles. Belinda says, 'We combine human-centred design with materials that empower people to cook better, live healthier, and feel more connected to the ritual of food.'
Form, colour, and tactility all contribute to accessibility. With minimalist silhouettes and neutral tones, Be Living eliminates visual clutter and transforms the kitchen into a calm space. Belinda describes her design philosophy as one that 'turns daily routines into moments that become family memories'. This message resonates with professionals designing interiors centred on emotion and longevity.
The personal blueprint
© Be LivingBelinda's perspective on business and design stems from formative personal experiences.
Losing both parents at a young age instilled independence and a deep sense of purpose. 'My father taught me the principles of business; my mother showed me warmth, love, and the power of good food,' she reflects. Those lessons became the foundation for both her professional life and the ethos of Be Living.
From selling homemade popsicles as a child to running restaurants across Asia and Europe, Belinda's career has been defined by resilience and curiosity. Each stage reinforced her belief that good design, like good food, emerges from care, clarity, and connection.
Living intentionally through design
For interior professionals rethinking material wellness and user experience, Be Living's model presents valuable insight. By linking the sensory aspects of cooking to emotional well-being, it exemplifies a growing movement toward interiors that nourish everyday life.
As Belinda summarises, 'Cookware is an extension of your kitchen ritual and your values.' Be Living's philosophy, 'Cook well, live well', expresses not only a design direction but an invitation to create intentional, human spaces where living fully begins with the simple act of preparing a meal.
