The world's tallest penthouse listed for $51 million

A penthouse in the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, has been listed for sale at $51 million. Known as the "Sky Palace", the duplex spans 21,000 square feet across the 107th and 108th floors, standing approximately 1,300 feet above ground—nearly the height of the Empire State Building's tip.

The shell-and-core unit offers panoramic 360-degree views of Dubai, the Arabian Gulf and the surrounding desert through floor-to-ceiling windows. It includes a private elevator, an indoor swimming pool, and comes with 12 parking spaces. However, as the space is unfinished, the buyer will need to invest in a full interior fit-out. According to listing agent Asad Khan, CEO of Invest Dubai Real Estate, there are "no real restrictions" on the interior design, apart from limitations on pool size due to structural weight.

The current owner, Karl Haddad, CEO of IRC Invest, purchased the property in 2020 from Mohamed Alabbar, the founder of Emaar Properties, but is now selling due to lack of time to complete the renovation. Khan noted strong interest from wealthy American buyers, including business figures and Hollywood agents.

While the penthouse is the most expensive unit within the Burj Khalifa, it is not the costliest property in Dubai. That record is held by a penthouse at Como Residence, which sold for approximately $136 million. The building itself has 50 floors above the penthouse, housing corporate offices and public venues, including the world's highest restaurant, At.mosphere, on the 122nd floor.

Globally, the tallest residence remains a triplex in Manhattan's Central Park Tower, located on the 129th floor at 1,416 feet above ground level.
