Staffan Ingvarsson, currently the CEO of Stockholm Business Region (SBR), is the new CEO of Stockholmsmässan. Ingvarsson started his position as CEO of Stockholmsmässan on February 8th.
Last autumn, the board of directors of Stockholm Stadshus AB decided to initiate a sales process for Stockholmsmässan AB, a subsidiary of the operative company Mässfastigheter AB. A suitable actor is now sought to manage, develop, and adapt the fair's operations going forward.
'We are now entering an active phase in the sales process of the fair concepts. This is closely linked to our ambition to develop the area with housing, workplaces, and sports clusters. With his extensive experience in business matters, Staffan Ingvarsson is an excellent person to lead the company through this important transformation journey for Stockholm,' says Karin Wanngård (S), chairman of the board of Stockholmsmässan.

Stockholmsmässan AB, which organises fairs, congresses, conferences, and events, is a subsidiary of Mässfastigheter i Stockholm AB, owned by Stockholm Stadshus AB. The city will sell Stockholmsmässan AB. As the area around Älvsjö station develops and a new subway line is drawn to the hub, the fair properties will make room for new housing, workplaces, recreation, and sports facilities. The program work for Älvsjö's future development is ongoing, and Stockholmsmässan will continue to welcome exhibitors and visitors in its existing facilities at least until the turn of 2028/2029.
