Staub celebrates 50 year anniversary

Under the auspices of '50 Years of Flavor and Love', French premium kitchenware producer Staub is celebrating 50 years of business success. Cherished by top chefs, as well as home cooks worldwide, the brand has gained renown primarily through its flagship product: the Cocotte. Today, the range includes cast iron cookware, ceramic dishes and smart kitchen tools.

Staub began in 1974 under Francis Staub who founded his company in the Alsatian town of Turckheim. The region in eastern France is renowned for its traditional craftsmanship and excellent cuisine. It was here that he designed his first cast iron Cocotte. It's also from here the company gets its logo, with the stork being the emblem of the Alsace region.

Even though the production site was relocated from Alsace to Merville in the Hauts-de-France region to streamline the manufacturing process, the deep connection with Alsace persists.

Thanks to the high-quality combination of cast iron and enamel coating, Staub has enjoyed immense popularity on the French market. Today, there are not only new designs, shapes, and colours of the Cocotte but also new cast iron products such as grill pans.
