According to the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce, the total was based on 284 certificates of origin issued during the month. While overall export value declined compared to March's JD50 million and slightly year-on-year, activity remained resilient despite broader economic pressures.
Furniture and interior-related goods, including home and office furniture, formed part of a broad export mix alongside electrical appliances, construction materials and sanitary ware. The presence of these categories highlights Zarqa's role as a regional distribution point for interior and furnishing products.
The automotive and spare parts sector continued to dominate export volumes, but the inclusion of furniture within the export basket underlines ongoing demand for interior solutions across regional markets.
Officials noted that fluctuations in export values are linked to wider geopolitical and economic conditions, but emphasised the importance of supporting export-driven sectors to maintain growth.
The data points to sustained, albeit cautious, movement in furniture-related trade flows, as regional hubs like Zarqa continue to facilitate the redistribution of interior products across neighbouring markets.
