Annie Sloan brings Chalk Paint to Sobell House Hospice store for 50th anniversary year

Annie Sloan has launched her signature Chalk Paint™ range at Sobell House Hospice's Bicester superstore, supporting fundraising activity as the charity marks its 50th anniversary.

The introduction of the range forms part of a wider programme celebrating the hospice's milestone year and aims to encourage sustainable upcycling through the transformation of pre-loved furniture sold in-store.

As an ambassador for Sobell House Hospice, Sloan officially introduced the collection during a special visit to the Bicester location. Customers are now able to reimagine second-hand furniture using Chalk Paint, with proceeds helping to fund hospice care services across Oxfordshire.

Sloan said: "I'm incredibly proud to be an ambassador for Sobell House, especially as it celebrates 50 years at the heart of the Oxfordshire community. The Bicester superstore is full of beautiful, characterful pieces just waiting to be reimagined and with Chalk Paint, you really can transform anything into something that fits your home perfectly. It's a wonderful way to support the hospice while getting creative."

The partnership highlights continued interest in circular retail models, where donated furniture is refreshed and resold to extend product lifespan while generating charitable income.

Further anniversary activities are planned throughout the year. Sloan is set to return in September to host a dedicated workshop at the Bicester superstore, with additional details to be announced.

In June, one of her expert painters is also scheduled to lead a session during Sobell House Hospice's 50th anniversary celebration at Westgate Oxford on 13 June.

Founded by Annie Sloan, Chalk Paint has become widely recognised for decorative furniture restoration and creative interior projects, helping drive renewed consumer interest in painted finishes and upcycling.

The Bicester launch demonstrates how branded creative products can support charitable retail environments while offering customers a more hands-on and design-led shopping experience.

With sustainability, reuse and community fundraising remaining important themes for the interiors sector, the collaboration between Annie Sloan and Sobell House Hospice reflects how decorative products can contribute beyond the home.
