German ceramics and bathroom group Villeroy & Boch has announced that chief executive Gabi Schupp will step down from her role on 31 May for personal reasons.
Schupp has served on the executive board since 2019 and became chairwoman and CEO in 2024. The company said she is leaving on good terms and will remain available in an advisory capacity following her departure.

After the handover, Georg Lörz will become spokesperson for the executive board under a new collegial management structure. He will also oversee the Bathroom & Wellness division.
The reorganised four-member executive board will also include Dr Peter Domma, responsible for Dining & Lifestyle as well as digitalisation and IT; Dr Markus Warncke, who continues to lead finance; and Esther Jehle, who will oversee human resources, organisational development and operations within Bath & Wellness.
Andreas Schmid thanked Schupp for her contribution, highlighting her role in advancing the business and leading the integration of Ideal Standard, described as the largest acquisition in the company's history.
Schupp said the integration of Ideal Standard had been completed, transformation efforts were progressing well and foundations for future growth were in place.
The leadership change comes as Villeroy & Boch continues to position itself as a broader international interiors and bathroom group following recent expansion and restructuring initiatives.
