Sofacompany is continuing its regional expansion with a new flagship store planned for Groningen, marking the brand's first location in the north of the Netherlands.
According to Klaas Hogeweg, keys to the new city-centre site were received this week, with preparations now underway to transform the premises into the company's biggest store in the Benelux region.

The new showroom is scheduled to open on Saturday, 27 June.
The Groningen launch represents another step in Sofacompany's wider physical retail growth strategy, using larger-format stores to strengthen brand visibility and customer reach in key European markets.
Known for its Scandinavian-inspired sofa and living room collections, the retailer has been expanding through a combination of direct retail locations and international market development.
Opening in Groningen gives the company access to an important northern Dutch retail catchment area while broadening its footprint beyond the Randstad and southern Netherlands markets.
The project also highlights continued retailer confidence in bricks-and-mortar investment, particularly for furniture brands that benefit from in-person product experience, fabric selection and design consultation.
Sofacompany said the new location will become its largest Benelux showroom, positioning Groningen as a major hub for the brand's regional operations.
