Wayfair has expanded its brick-and-mortar presence with the opening of its first physical store in the southern United States, located in Atlanta. The new site, situated in the West Midtown district at Howell Mill Road, marks the company's second physical retail location globally and signals a continued shift towards omnichannel retail.
Spanning approximately 150,000 square feet, the store represents one of Wayfair's largest physical formats to date and is designed to serve customers across the wider Southeast region. A grand opening event is scheduled to take place from 17 to 19 April.

The retail concept reflects Wayfair's digital-first origins, with a showroom-style layout organised by room. Customers can explore fully styled environments, including living spaces, kitchens and outdoor settings, showcasing a broad assortment of furniture, décor, kitchenware and home accessories.
A key feature of the store is its interactive design, allowing shoppers to test products in person. Functional displays, such as fitted kitchen setups and working fixtures, aim to replicate real-life usage scenarios, while dedicated consultation areas provide access to in-store design experts.
The opening highlights Wayfair's strategy to complement its e-commerce platform with experiential retail spaces, offering customers a more tactile and service-led shopping experience.
