After the devastating DANA storm on October 29th, 2024, the beaches of southern Valencia were transformed into an unrecognisable landscape, a reflection of the devastation it left behind. Uprooted trees, trunks, and reeds lay scattered across the sand, silent witnesses to the relentless force of the water. Yet, amid that chaos, a gesture of solidarity emerged, one capable of offering memory and support. Forms shaped by the current, textures that spoke of resilience, and the poetry that can arise even in destruction.
Héctor Serrano selected 85 roots, one for each affected town, and transformed them into unique vases to raise funds aimed at rebuilding the area's family vegetable gardens.

A project that turns memory into action and each piece into a tribute
Today, Punt and Héctor Serrano join forces to continue this story with the reproduction of the Manises vase, crafted by a local ceramicist. With this piece, we seek to reconcile with clay, keep the memory of the DANA alive, and continue supporting the affected communities. At the same time, we invite reflection on climate change, its impacts, and the need to care for ourselves and the world we inhabit.
