Unilin Technologies, the technology and intellectual property division of Unilin, is poised to make a significant impact at major global flooring and DIY trade events this spring. With a showcase of breakthrough technologies in recycling, flooring systems, and sustainable materials, Unilin will appear at Interzum (Cologne), Domotex Asia/CHINAFLOOR (Shanghai), Ligna Hannover, Flanders Flooring Days (Belgium), and for the first time, the Global DIY Summit (Lisbon).
Kicking off the season at Interzum in Cologne, Unilin Technologies will present Osiris, a pioneering solution in medium-density fibreboard (MDF) recycling. The company describes Osiris as 'the first industrialised technology capable of retrieving high-quality wood fibres from wood waste,' making it possible to reuse them in new MDF boards or laminate flooring. This innovation is already being deployed at Unilin Panels' production plant in Bazeilles, France, and is being scaled up for wider application.
Simultaneously, the Ligna Hannover event will host Unilin's partner, Dieffenbacher, who will demonstrate how the Osiris technology can be implemented across production sites. Visitors will be able to meet both Unilin and Dieffenbacher teams for insight into industrial integration possibilities.
Later in May, at Domotex Asia/CHINAFLOOR in Shanghai, Unilin Technologies will highlight its patented locking technologies—Uniclic, Unidrop, and Unipush—that have set industry benchmarks. Attendees can explore innovations such as P-SPC, a PET-based resilient flooring; Unigrout, an award-winning ceramic-look technology now available for glue-down installation; and Hybrid Core, a PVC-free, low-swell solution addressing environmental and performance demands.
Unilin's innovations will also be centre stage during Flanders Flooring Days in Belgium from 2 to 5 June. For the first time, Unilin Technologies will host its own dedicated booth at the Unilin Flooring site in Wielsbeke. The event promises "an immersive experience tour" through premium brands, Quick-Step, Moduleo, and Pergo, and a rare behind-the-scenes look at the technological advances driving them. The company invites guests to 'reach out to your Unilin Technologies' representative to book your visit.'
Concluding this busy season, Unilin Technologies will attend the Global DIY Summit in Lisbon, 11–13 June, marking its debut at this leading home improvement forum. The event offers retailers and professionals opportunities to connect with the Unilin team and learn about the company's "technical and marketing support services" aimed at empowering the DIY sector.
