The Range strengthens digital marketplace with Mirakl partnership

Mirakl has announced a new strategic partnership with UK home and garden retailer The Range, marking a significant upgrade to the retailer's online marketplace infrastructure as it continues to expand its digital commerce operations.

The partnership sees The Range transition from its in-house marketplace system to Mirakl's enterprise platform, designed to support scalable, AI-powered marketplace management. The move is intended to enhance seller onboarding, streamline operational workflows and improve overall performance across the retailer's fast-growing digital ecosystem.

A key component of the upgrade includes the integration of Mirakl Ads, enabling third-party sellers to promote products directly within The Range's online environment. This addition is expected to strengthen product visibility and support further growth in marketplace-driven sales.

The Range currently offers close to one million products across home, leisure and lifestyle categories through its online marketplace, with third-party sellers accounting for a substantial share of total digital sales. The platform receives more than 200 million annual visits, reflecting its position as one of the UK's major online retail destinations.

The adoption of Mirakl's technology will also enable improved automation across catalogue management and seller operations, as well as enhanced data handling and performance monitoring. These capabilities are aimed at supporting continued expansion while maintaining consistency in product quality and customer experience.

The move forms part of a broader digital transformation strategy at parent company CDS Superstores, which has been investing in cloud infrastructure and AI-driven tools to strengthen search, personalisation and product discovery across its retail brands. The integration of advanced marketplace technology is positioned as a key step in scaling the group's ecommerce capabilities.

According to Mirakl, the partnership reflects growing demand among large retailers for flexible marketplace systems that enable rapid assortment expansion without additional inventory risk. The platform is used globally by retailers seeking to unify supplier networks and streamline multi-vendor commerce operations.

With onboarding already completed, The Range is now progressing into the next phase of marketplace development, focusing on expanding supplier participation and further enhancing its digital retail offering through AI-supported infrastructure and retail media tools.
