A prominent furniture retail park near Leeds has been acquired by a new owner as part of a move to expand into the UK retail market.
The 131,000sqft, fully-let site in Birstall is home to several major furniture retailers alongside other well-known brands from different sectors.
Hines, acting on behalf of Hines Global Income Trust (HGIT), has acquired Junction 27 from Tritax Big Box. The acquisition marks HGIT's first entry into the UK retail market, contributing to the diversification of its $4.5bn (£3.4bn) global portfolio.
Retailers at Junction 27 include Furniture Village, ScS, Barker and Stonehouse, Sofology, Natuzzi, and NCF Living, as well as tenants such as Currys, Pizza Express, TGI Fridays, and Zizzi.
