The event offers a prominent platform for design schools, including notable institutions such as UDK Berlin, HTW Berlin, HAWK, Berlin International, GIU, and Code University, to showcase their emerging talent. For these schools, the opportunity to present their work at Berlin Design Week holds great value, providing exposure to an expansive international network and enabling the exchange of ideas on a global scale.
This year's edition will also feature major brands and architectural firms such as Jasper Architects, RAA Ralph Appelbaum Associates, Signet, Oka, and Henn. These industry leaders will contribute to the event through engaging exhibitions and by opening their showrooms and galleries as creative hubs. Showroom presentations will be complemented by activities in designated partner spaces, including locations such as Amtsalon by Wilmina, Gebrüder Fritz, and Platte.
An extensive programme of talks and panel discussions is also planned, bringing together leading designers, architects, and industry experts from around the world. These sessions aim to foster dialogue and encourage creative exchange within the design community. The finalised schedule is expected to be unveiled early in 2025.
Alexandra Klatt, the founder of Berlin Design Week, expressed her excitement about the event's growing popularity and trust within the design industry. She noted that many participants are already planning for the 2026 edition, which will coincide with Berlin's 25th anniversary as a UNESCO City of Design. Klatt described the initiative as a dynamic journey enriched by strong partnerships and innovative contributors.
Berlin Design Week 2025 promises to be a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation, and collaboration, cementing its reputation as a premier event in the international design calendar.
