A fire erupted at a furniture factory in Barnaul, in the Altai Region in Russia, on September 29, 2024, prompting a swift response from emergency services. The blaze, which affected an area of 1,000 square metres, reached the sixth floor of the administrative building. Authorities reported that one person was rescued from the scene.

Emergency services, including 37 personnel and 10 units of equipment, were deployed to manage the situation, along with a fire train and three fire extinguishing zones established at the site. Eyewitnesses reported the presence of fuel tanks adjacent to the building, with firefighters actively dousing them to prevent potential explosions.
The Russian Ministry of Emergencies continues to manage the situation and investigate the cause of the fire at the furniture factory.
