London Festival of Architecture takes over the city in June

The London Festival of Architecture has just kicked off, with its 2024 theme "Reimagine". The month-long celebration of architecture and city-making, taking place every June across London. The Festival's mission is to open up discussions around architecture, test new ideas and uncover and promote new talent. This year, the festival celebrates its 20th anniversary.

'At LFA, we are champions for change. The need for change is not new, but it's something we're all aware of. Collectively we're facing some of the greatest challenges ever presented to modern society: a time of climate crisis, a cost of living crisis, social injustice, and inequality. It can feel overwhelming – but our role as active citizens has never been more important. We cannot reset the clock, but we can reflect, rethink, repair, and rebuild,' the organisation says.

2024 marks 20 years of the London Festival of Architecture. '#LFAat20 will be a moment of celebration, and a chance to reflect on the impact of the Festival over last two decades, as well as what we can celebrate within the city. It will also be a moment to reset, to explore how the Festival, industry, and all Londoners can shape a more equitable, accessible and sustainable city – a London by and for all Londoners.'

The London Festival of Architecture 2024, running throughout June, will activate various destinations across Greater London, including Barnet, Bromley, Fitzrovia, West End, City of London, Ealing Road and Alperton, Sutton Town Centre, Wood Green, and Alexandra Palace. With over 450 events, including talks, workshops, performances, tours, and public space installations, the festival encourages London's boroughs, Business Improvement Districts (BID), architects, and communities to prioritize people-centric urban development.

The London Festival of Architecture is held from June 1-30, 2024.
