Sanderson Design Group relocates back to the heart of Chiswick, London

Sanderson Design Group is making its way back to its roots at Voysey House, nestled in the heart of Chiswick, London. They believe this homecoming marks not only a significant milestone in their journey as a company, but also aligns with their ongoing Layers of Legacy campaign, which celebrates the enduring charm of Sanderson designs across generations.

Voysey House, formerly known as the 'White Building', carries a rich history, especially as the only commercial building designed by the esteemed Arts & Crafts architect, C.F.A. Voysey. Originally erected in 1902 as a wallpaper factory for Arthur Sanderson & Sons, the building stands as a symbol of the evolution of Modern Movement architecture.

Under the initiative of Dorrington, Voysey House has recently undergone extensive restorations, preserving its original design principles while enhancing its eco-friendly features. From the careful refurbishment of the white glazed brickwork to the revival of the iconic 'Voysey Green' metal-coated windows, every aspect has been thoughtfully managed to honour the building's noteworthy past.

The five-storey building will now host a comprehensive Sanderson archive dating back to the 1600s, alongside the design studios of esteemed brands such as Sanderson, Morris & Co., and Zoffany, as well as modern brands and workshops.

The team from Sanderson Design Group is looking forward to return to their heritage home, and plan to establish a dynamic creative centre for themselves and their partners, inspiring the next generation of impactful design.
