Tarkett and Studio RENS transform linoleum

Linoleum is traditional yet perfectly contemporary: natural and sustainable, easy to maintain, and tough as nails. Last week during Dutch Design Week, the material broke free from its well-known image and shed its familiar reputation. With Lino Undercover, Tarkett and Studio RENS uncovered the hidden facets of linoleum.

For over 125 years, Tarkett has been producing linoleum following the same original recipe. Constantly evolving and searching for new applications and possibilities, the flooring brand initiated this collaboration with Studio RENS. Designers renowned for their unconventional colour and material experiments, and researchers that have been propelling businesses and quality labels forward for more than 15 years.

The experiments done by the collaborating brands include stripping, slicing, dissecting, reversing, fitting together and colouring. Lino Undercover revealed new spatial applications for the material.
