Freddie Mercury's former London home hits the market for €35 million

In a move that has sparked interest among fans and property enthusiasts alike, Garden Lodge, the iconic London home of the legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, is now up for sale for €35 million.

Preserved since Mercury's passing in 1991 by his close friend and sole heir, the property, nestled in the Kensington district of London, offers a glimpse into the life and artistic vision of one of music's most beloved figures. Managed by the British agency Knight Frank, the sale of Garden Lodge presents a rare opportunity to own a piece of rock history.

Constructed in the early 20th century, the neo-Georgian style mansion stands as a testament to Mercury's refined taste and eclectic style. Designed by architect and decorator Robin Moore Ede under Mercury's guidance, the residence remains virtually unchanged since the day of his death, maintaining its timeless allure and historical significance.

With its picturesque surroundings, including lush gardens adorned with majestic magnolia trees, the property exudes an air of tranquillity and sophistication. Featuring a double-height living room, a cosy bar, a well-stocked library, and a dedicated music space, Garden Lodge reflects Mercury's vibrant personality and passion for artistry. The artist's studio, offering panoramic views of the verdant garden, houses the very piano on which he composed the iconic anthem "Bohemian Rhapsody."
