Founded in Chicago in 1950 by Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames, GOOD DESIGN remains one of the longest-established international programmes recognising design quality across disciplines.
In its 2025 edition, the jury reviewed a record number of submissions from manufacturers and design studios across more than 55 countries. The selection process resulted in over 1,100 product and graphic designs being recognised for their contribution to design quality, functionality and sustainability.
According to the organisers, the programme reflects a broad spectrum of design activity, from everyday consumer objects to large-scale urban concepts, describing the scope as ranging from the "spoon to the city".
All awarded projects are published on the official platforms of the institution, including gooddesign.org and chi-athenaeum.org, and will be included in the GOOD DESIGN Yearbook 2025–2026.

The jury session took place in November and December, during which designs from over 55 nations were evaluated for inclusion in the final selection.
The GOOD DESIGN Award continues to serve as a reference point for international design recognition, highlighting work across industrial and graphic design disciplines within a global framework of evaluation.
