In response to the financial challenges, Steffen Kremmer has been appointed as the new chief executive officer. With extensive experience in the construction sector, including senior roles at MT Højgaard and SKAKO Concrete, Kremmer is now implementing structural changes at Roust Element.
One of his first initiatives has been the introduction of a tender board to evaluate projects based on both technical and commercial viability. 'We have to be selective,' said Kremmer, noting that the previous overload of complex projects had strained the organisation. 'We have slowed down the pace and increased the quality, and it is already working.'
Holger C. Hansen, CEO of Nordic Wood Industries, stated that the company will continue to focus on its core business. The first half of 2025 was centred on stabilisation, with management expecting signs of improvement in the latter half of the year.
