Operating as an independent business under the Aubo brand, the Aarhus V-based store has ceased trading.
Despite the store's separate legal status, Torben Andersen, CEO of Aubo Production, announced that the company will honour prepayments made by affected customers. "When you run with independent CVR numbers, some people would probably just shrug their shoulders. But I have great hopes of coming back to Aarhus again with a new operator," said Andersen.
He cited challenging market conditions as a key factor in the store's collapse but emphasised the importance of protecting the company's reputation. Aubo has arranged internally to cover customer losses to maintain public confidence in the brand.
The move reflects Aubo's commitment to long-term credibility, despite the financial hit. Andersen also expressed optimism about re-entering the Aarhus market in the future with a new franchise partner.
