Kia has been honoured with a Special Mention in the Communication category at the prestigious Fuorisalone Awards 2025 for its groundbreaking exhibition, Opposites United: Eclipse of Perceptions, presented during Milan Design Week from 7–13 April.
This accolade highlights Kia's influential approach to design philosophy storytelling and its ability to engage global audiences through immersive and conceptual content.
Kia's exhibition, Opposites United: Eclipse of Perceptions, was celebrated for its immersive, multi-sensory experience, effectively bringing the brand's Opposites United design philosophy to life. Drawing over 20,000 visitors across seven days, the exhibition demonstrated how dualities such as light and dark, form and void, and tradition and innovation are harnessed to inspire creativity and drive innovative design.
The four key installations showcased were:
- Marquee by Philippe Parreno
- The Cave by A.A. Murakami
- Beyond the Horizon by A.A. Murakami
- The Eclipse by Kia Design
Each installation offered a unique interpretation of the dynamic interplay of opposing forces, reflecting Kia's vision for forward-thinking and emotionally resonant design.
The Fuorisalone Awards recognise the most memorable and impactful exhibitions at Milan Design Week, with projects shortlisted by public votes and assessed by a panel of industry experts. Special Mentions are awarded across three categories: Sustainability, Technology, and Communication.
Kia's exhibition received its Special Mention in the Communication category for 'its clear, inclusive design communication that engaged diverse audiences through storytelling and participatory experiences.'
This latest accolade underscores Kia's ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of design innovation and cultural dialogue. Having exhibited at Milan Design Week for three consecutive years, Kia continues to offer new perspectives and foster creative exploration through international platforms.
